City Training raise £370 for Simon Says Charity
Staff at City Training has been taking part in ‘dress down’ days for the past three years in aid of raising funds for local charity Simon Says. This year, staff at City Training has managed to raise £370 for the cause.
Operations Manager of Simon Says, Paula Wiseman said “We are very grateful for the continued support of the employees of City Training; the impact that death has on children is often underestimated, and it is important that they are helped to move on whilst holding on to their memories. Donations such as this enable Simon Says to continue to make a positive difference to the lives of bereaved children and young people in Hampshire.”
Simon Says offer support for young people who have lost a parent or sibling. Support ranges from a telephone support line, support groups and counselling.
Terri Sherwin, Quality Manager at City Training said: “City Training, part of the City College Group, is very pleased to support Simon Says, which is a local charity that relies completely on donations. Simon Says provides really valuable child bereavement support for children and young people up to the age of 18. Coping with death must be very traumatic for these young people, and Simon Says offers them support in a number of ways which may not be available elsewhere. A very worthy cause for City Training to support through its dress down days.”
