City & Guilds 5101-301: Level 3 Certificate in Mobile Air Conditioning Systems
A new qualification developed to close the gap for skilled technicians.
Who is this course suitable for?
Any candidate that is already practising in the automotive and marine industry and those who aim to enter the industry.

Materials for system recovery
Materials for system recharging using source cylinder
The candidate will demonstrate an understanding of the:
- Legal implications
- Environmental implications, ozone layer and global warming
- Equipment and procedures Health and safety / environmental requirements for handling, storage and transportation of refrigerants
- Refrigerant identification
- Refrigerant recovery
- System evacuation
- Disposal, recycling or destruction of waste refrigerants.
Assessments:
The unit includes a practical assignment combined with an oral test. The oral test will be carried out by the assessor following the successful completion of the practical test.
Knowledge questions consist of four sections. Each section consists of several questions. Candidates are required to correctly answer a minimum number of questions specified in each section in order to gain overall pass.
Any pre-requisites?
1 Day Course
Need to be working within the industry and have the equipment in the workshop. Delegates will need to read through the revision kit prior to the course date.
