Why did you go to City Horizons?
I went to City Horizons in April 2008 as although I had been to college
for a year studying Business & IT & completed my course I
didn’t know what I wanted to do. My mum found City Horizons on the
internet.
Would you recommend City Horizons?
Yes! It was so worthwhile, it gives you lots of opportunities & you can make some good friends.
Would you recommend the training at City Horizons?
Yes! It is well worth doing. I have completed and passed my Application
of Numbers Key Skills and my Communications Key Skills is currently in
progress and I am hoping to complete that shortly.
What was your experience with City Training like?
I was given the opportunity to work within the Administration offices
at City Training as a work taster and to gain some experience in this
environment. Everyone there was really helpful and I enjoyed the
atmosphere.
What made you want an apprenticeship?
Finding a job was difficult and I wanted to achieve something and I felt the apprenticeship would give me that.
Why did you choose IT?
I was inspired by my Dad and it gave me the interest of wanting to understand more about how PC’s and how they worked.
How are you enjoying your apprenticeship?
I am really enjoying it and I am very happy. I am learning new skills
everyday such as installing software, running programmes and repairing
PC’s.
Do you have any further comments?
I would like to thank everyone at City Horizons and City Training for
helping me to get here. My special thanks go to Jo Chapman of City
Horizons and Sharon Lockey of City Training, along with Darren Munday
at Microlink for giving me this opportunity.
