Health & Safety Policy

As an employer, you must have a policy for how you look after your Health & Safety. If you employ five or more people, this policy must be in writing.

The Health & Safety Policy sets out your general approach, objectives and the arrangements you have put in place for managing health and safety in your organisation. It tells staff and others about your commitment to health and safety, and simply describes how you will implement and monitor your health and safety controls.

Southampton City Training will need to see a copy of your Health & Safety Policy. We will also go through a Health & Safety Assessment within the organisation to make sure you comply with Health & Safety regulations for an Apprentice. You will have support from your Placement Officer or Training Consultant from Southampton City Training. We are always happy to help you with any queries you may have.
