The Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship is delivered over a three year period. You will attend college one day a week.

Mechanical Engineering is an essential part of many diverse industries throughout the world. As a mechanical engineer you would be involved in the creation and design of advances in mechanical equipment, machine components or even the tools used to create them. Your role will also find you involved in the repair of products as well as ensuring a high level of quality assurance through inspection and testing.

After achieving the level 2 apprenticeship in mechanical engineering there is an option to progress to level 3 advanced apprenticeship. On the advanced apprenticeship there are two pathway choices: Mechanical and Metalwork. This allows you to establish yourself on the right track in pursuing exactly which direction you are aiming for.

You will need to demonstrate an array of abilities including:

·         Good practical, written and communication skills

·         A strong eye for detail and analytical skills

·         An aptitude for Maths and IT
