GRP Structural Repairs Techniques 03 – 1 and a half Days Course
A one and a half day practical course on structural repairs to cored laminates with damage to one skin only and the core. The course will include practical repair to a sandwich panel where the outside laminate and the core are damaged and need to be repaired.
· Damage assessment
· Removal of damage with routers and cutters
· Grinding tapers and scarph angles
· Damaged core removal
· Potting in replacement core (bagged)
· Replacing damaged laminate to the original specification (bagged)
· Fairing back and replacing gel coat
· Cosmetic surface finishing techniques
This course is suitable for students who wish to increase their competence for the repair of more complex composite structures.
