GRP Structural Repairs Techniques – 1 Day Course
This is a one course on the structural repair of single skin GRP laminates. This course will include practical repairs techniques and hole damage, where is access is accessible from both the inside and outside of the laminate faces.
· Damage assessment
· Removal of damage with routers and cutters
· Grinding tapers and scarph angles
· Surface preparation
· Temporary mould manufacture
· Temporary mould preparation and fixing
· Gelcoat and original laminate replacement
· Cosmetic surface finishing techniques theory
The course is suited for students with a good understanding of GRP lay-up techniques that wish to be able to carry out basic structural repairs to single skin GRP laminates to Lloyd’s register standards.
